Recycling

There are a number of recycling points in the Didcot area. This list shows their location and the types of materials which can be recycled.

Glass, Shoes, Textiles.

Didcot, Tesco car park
Cans, Glass, Shoes, Books

Drayton, Waste Recycling Centre, Steventon Road
Glass, Engine Oil, Cardboard, Paper, Garden waste, Scrap Metal, Car Batteries.
(They also take all types of rubbish including domestic appliances).
Opening times: Monday-Sunday 08:00-17:00 (late night opening to 20:00 on Thursdays from April 1st to September 30th).

Kerbside Collections

Free recycling boxes are available to every household in South Oxfordshire for paper, cardboard, tins, cans and plastics. These boxes are obtainable from outlets throughout the district - telephone 01491 823416 for your nearest outlet or for a recycling box to be delivered. The recyclables are collected from the kerbside every week on the same day as your normal refuse, but NOT at the same time.

Home Composting

SODC has arranged for discounted compost bins to be made available to local householders (only 6 including delivery). To order a home composter, call Blackwall Ltd on 0845 130 6090.
