My laptop will use internal wi fi when signal is available and then use the dongle anywhere else, best thing I ever bought as dont need landline now at home. Make sure you get a roll over vodafone dongle from ebay as new ones need renewing every month now. My £15 top up lasts ages and would be lost on a new dongle.
