Did anyone get a ticket yesterday at around 8am (Tuesday 21st April 2008). The machines were out of order (yet again) and the attendant wasn't there. Clearly the machines had been working earlier as many cars did have tickets. However looking around at other cars there must have been at least about a dozen or more of us who weren't able to get a ticket at around 8/8.30am and had left notes in our windscreens to explain why. I was livid to come back and find a ticket. I have no issue with paying a charge or fine if I am in the wrong but this company so blatantly oversteps the mark. This is the third ticket I have had completely unwarranted. On the previous 2 occasions I was not refunded my money despite appealing. On the first occasion the machine was printing the incorrect date (a problem that they had had the previous day also) and on the second it was for the now common 'parking in an unmarked bay'. I will also be writing to trading standards if I don't get a refund this time.
